History of the hotel -
hospitality with a tradition

This slogan really becomes reality in the Flair Hotel zum Storchen. According to scientific examinations from the universitiy of Bamberg, it was proven that the wood, used to built the roof-truss of the hotel, was cut in winter of 1295/96. This is where the saying arising in the year of 1296 could be diverted from.

That makes the amazing building not only the oldest and so far best-known framework in Bad Windsheim, but also the only in whole mid franconia, from the time before 1300. Within bavaria there is only one more comparable buiding.

Maybe a dozen framework houses from this time, are excisting in germany.
